High Impact Learning Experience Overview

- Regents' Orientation will take place on the first week of classes and will cover students' first-year requirements within the Regents' Scholars program
- Student will receive upcoming HILE 101 Workshop Dates and QR Code to RSVP
- Students will receive an overview of the HILE requirement and timeline. Students are required to attend one HILE 101 Workshop within their first-year.
- Students will be notified of HILE 101 Workshops via an email from Navigate
- If applicable, RFGC Staff will present at each colleges during their designated Hullabaloo or Success Program class sessions.
- Hosted at the end of each eligible semester to allow students to complete HILE participation

- Focus Groups

- Description of role/responsibilities

- Student Stages
- Intake: Student will submit HILE Intake Form. At this stage, RFGC staff will review the submission and ensure that all details are included. The student will submit the following information: HILE Type, HILE Participation Semester, and HILE Proof
- Validation: HILE Intake form will be reviewed to ensure that it meets validation criteria. This stage will allow RFGC staff to validate HILEs and communicate with students that their HILE meets the requirements and will clear them up for HILE participation.
- Verification: Student has completed all required tasks to fulfill HILE 2nd year requirement. The tasks needed to complete are as follows: HILE 101 Workshop, HILE Intake Form, HILE Validation, HILE Post-Participation Workshop, and HILE Reflection.
- Canvas: Canvas is Texas A&M University’s Learning Management System (LMS) managed by the Center for Teaching Excellence.
- Canvas is a secure, centralized system that features:
- grade centers
- assignments
- quizzes
- content management tools
- Navigate: Advanced student success management system that utilizes predictive analytics and easy-to-use tools to provide students comprehensive, holistic support; promoting success in the classroom and beyond.
