The Office for Student Success has funds available to support your Hullabaloo U course and activities. Instructors or program coordinators can request funds via the process described below. These funds can support basic class necessities such as supplies and materials, but can also be used to support innovative ideas for course enhancement, community building, campus engagement, and collaboration between sections/ communities.
Funding awards have historically averaged around $140 per section. Fund requests, particularly to support innovative ideas, can be for more than the average amount. Fund requests will be gladly accepted and approved on a rolling basis as long as funds remain.
Priority will be given to requests that clearly articulate how these funds will help you achieve Hullabaloo U's common outcomes:

Priority will be given to requests that clearly articulate how these funds will help you achieve Hullabaloo U's common outcomes:
- Community formation and sense of belonging
- Increased campus engagement and/or awareness of campus resources
- Development of skills to achieve personal, academic and career goals
- Enhanced knowledge and skills to engage respectfully with the campus community
Once awarded, Hullabaloo U course funds are transferred to a departmental account specified by the instructor and made available for you to use to support your class. The Office for Student Success cannot reimburse instructors for costs incurred prior to the request and approval of course funds. Once the funds are transferred, please work with your departmental business office to access these funds and follow the guidelines set by your department for spending money—most instructors have access to a procard to make tax-exempt purchases and then turn in receipts to their business office. While departmental rules for acceptable purchases can vary, TAMU FMO has advised that purchasing gift cards (such as to use for prizes) is in most cases not allowed.
