DoraIsela Martinez is a first-generation student and proud El Paso native. She received her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Spanish from Sam Houston State University in 2018 and is currently working on her Master of Science in Educational Administration at Texas A&M University. Upon graduating from SHSU, she began promoting college readiness to Houston youth through non-profit work and later joined the College and Career Readiness department at HISD, where she worked as a college advisor. She supported all students through the college admissions and enrollment process. In 2022, she transitioned to work for Texas A&M University and has had the opportunity to serve in multiple departments such as the Aggie One Stop and Undergraduate Strategic Partnerships. She is passionate about ensuring low income and underrepresented populations have access to education. DoraIsela is constantly promoting inclusive and safe learning environments by providing academic and non-academic support to all students so that they can be successful throughout their college journey and graduate with a degree from Texas A&M University.
