Initially, students should visit the change of major website to learn about change of major requirements set by individual departments/colleges. Students who do not meet the requirements of their intended new major (e.g., too many earned credits, too low of a GPR, etc.) are welcome to visit this form to be contacted for an academic advising appointment 

Items to consider include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Will the potential major be a good fit for achieving my career goals? 
• Do I satisfy the admission requirements (e.g., GPR, earned credit hours threshold, etc.)? 
• Will the change of path have any financial aid and/or scholarship ramifications? 
• And is there enough time to seek out a new major (students are advised to be active players in the process)?

It is best to follow the appeal directions provided to you in your dismissal notice.
