Alexia is from Alief Houston, Texas and is a first-generation college graduate. She studied Performance Studies at Texas A&M University for her Bachelor of Arts.and Master of Arts. In her program, she studied the influences creation of Free Jazz and how it impact African American performing arts. Alexia is now a program coordinator with the Routh First-Generation Center. Within the center, she works with Regents' Scholars' High Impact Practice Experiences, Texas Leadership Scholars Program, and supports the Regents' Scholars Program.
Advice for Students: It's okay if you don't get it the first time and it's okay to ask for help. Run your race at your own pace!
