Gen1 Learning Community

The Gen1 Learning Community is the Routh First-Gen Center's academic success program for students receiving first-generation scholarships.

Criteria for involvement

Students are eligible to participate in the Gen1 Learning Community if they meet one of the folowing criteria:

All Regents' Scholars in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences, School of Public Health, or the Transition Academic Program.
All Regents' Scholars who are awarded the President's Achievement scholarship.
All first-generation students awarded the Ignite scholarship.

Social and academic events throughout the year
Leadership opportunities. Students in their second year and beyond may apply to serve as peer mentors for the community.
Participation in high-impact experiences during your college career.
