Tabitha Fritz graduated from Mount Aloysius College (Cresson, PA) in 2004 with a bachelor of science in elementary education. After graduating college, she worked for the Everett Area School District as an elementary teacher until she relocated to College Station, TX in June 2007. Over the next year she heard about the great values, traditions, and research at Texas A&M University. In November 2008, Tabitha accepted a position working in the Office of Admissions.

While working in Admissions, Tabitha gained valuable experience in understanding the entire admissions application process for students, as well as becoming proficient in a wide variety of systems and software used in higher education. In March 2010, Tabitha moved to the Office of the Registrar where she learned processes related to degree evaluations.  There she built and maintained degree programs, maintained internal processes related to the graduation timeline, assisted in launching the University Adjustment System, and processed adjustments. Tabitha was cross trained in many areas of this office, which gave her additional experience in working with all colleges and departments on campus and allowed her to attain great rapport with the advising community.

The comprehensive skill set she developed from the amazing mentors and the incredible opportunities presented to her during her time in these offices, prepared Tabitha for the next step of her career. In August 2013, Tabitha accepted an academic advisor position in the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office. In this leadership role, her main focus was to spread her knowledge and expertise in the areas of graduation and degree requirements to the departmental advisors. This included managing the degree candidate list for the college where she assisted departmental advisors with clearing their students for graduation, assisted departments with suggested edits to degree evaluations and catalog entries, and managed course adjustments and other curriculum requests for the college. It was incredible the way she could comprehend, and maneuver through, the many degree programs and requirements. Advisors in the college admired Tabitha’s ability to turn dead end situations into a very positive outcome; especially with the graduating seniors.

In July 2019, Tabitha was excited to accept a new challenge. She was given the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with, yet, another office on campus – Office for Student Success. Her main job is to manage the Help Desk, which is meant to assist students, advisors, faculty, or an outsider with any question they may have; in particular, to help students navigate barriers preventing them from graduating.  Her compassionate advising style, along with her natural leadership abilities makes her a great addition to this office.
